Puto Espesyal, My Famous Recipe

My puto espesyal became famous to my friends when i started to cook it here in America. Every time we have gatherings, i don't miss cooking it and serve it to them. They have been asking how i cook it and so i gave them the recipe and the procedure on how. But some of them came back to me and told me that they haven't got it quite right, i dunno why. They would rather eat what i make instead of cooking of their own.

I went for a vacation for about four months and when i came back here, my friends requested me to cook again, well it's because they are close to my heart, i did. The first time i cook the puto espesyal since i came back was last October 30, halloween party. My five year old one wanted to help me so i just told him to put the food coloring in it, and he did. He mixed every colors we have and this was the result, the picture below. Oooppps! There's a tiny hand grabbing one! That's my little potato by the way, can't resist not to grab for it looks yummy to his greedy eyes, lol!

They Miss This

My friends were so happy that i am finally back here in Utah. They can't wait to see the kids for they are now getting so big. Also they miss our get together, and so am i. I miss all the different varieties of food that we individually bring when we have something special to celebrate. This coming Saturday, there will be another gathering, it's a baby shower party of a Filipina that is expecting a baby girl. And one of my friends requested me to make this puto especial that they miss. I haven't had this for awhile myself, so i guess it's perfect time to make some. I will also make some for the next week event which will be our halloween costume party at my friend's house where's the party usually being held.

Craving For Puto Cheese

I have been craving the Filipino famous Puto cheese delicacy lately. You wanna know why? Because there was one time that i attended a party to my friend's friend party and she prepared some sweet treats as desserts. And one treat that i ate first was the puto cheese. I tried one or two and it makes me want to grab some more and more. I so love it! I makes me miss my younger brother's puto cheese. He cooks good and bakes cakes so delicious. Too bad i couldn't just simply copy his puto cheese though i know the recipe but every time i tried to make some, it won't come out as good as his, i don't know why. Well i should try it again sometime because i have been craving for it so bad and i want to bring some to my friend's house too since it will be her husband's birthday this coming weekend. So i will just post it here later guys, if the result will come out good just like my brother's!
